Asked another question, and Marty responded that in Halo: Reach "ALL the Covenant speech is an actual real language. You fans should figure it out. It's translatable."

...mind blown. I really want to find out now which language became Covenant speech. Surprised that the Internet hasn't stumbled on the answer yet.
