Hmm, yeah I get nuked by the Guardians when I try. I guess you could get the shade to the ledge and then try riding it but that's probably more effort than descending via the normal falls.

I guess I should see about delaying the checkpoint until I make the first jump successfully since that will save me some of the pain of resetting every time.
