I agree totally, the plasma rifle just has such an iconic look. I asked my girlfriend who only knows Halo as "that game my boyfriend is obsessed with" what she saw when thinking of the game and she said; big dude in green armor, double-pointed blue glowy sword thingy, and weird blue ball firing double-slug gun. The plasma rifle was very memorable because it felt so alien, the storm rifle just looks like generic futuristic space gun. I think I mentioned this during a community night but 343i should make the plasma rifle into a REQ weapon and I preferred the plasma repeater over the storm rifle as a primary rifle for the covenant because it still felt like a plasma rifle. But Alas poor Yorrick.
