: we're talking about with cross-cultural exchange. The stuff about using
: Waypoint and the mechanics of how people communicate in the colonies was
: only ever first explored with 343 and "Hunt the Truth".
Technically, I Love Bees dealt with a 2552 AI learning to use our 2004 internet, and dealt with a coven virus attempting to deal with human AI and ancient internet technology. Chalk it up to game/marketing mechanics, but it was a core element of the plot.
(aware that someone may then extend this logic to the Cortana Letters, but I don't recall anywhere saying that those are canon, but I could be wrong :P)
