I appreciate the insight into how the descriptions and larger fiction backing them up is written; can we maybe get a look at what the whole production process is like? For example, someone has an idea, and the base of the idea is a bit of lore, or a visual design, or an actual function, and then they present it in... whatever way they present it, and this team and that team work on other angles (maybe some teams before others?), and they collaborate in some specified way, and a deadline or goal is determined in some way... something along those lines.

I also appreciate that one of the fiction people basically said the description is the way it is because he decided to just go a little crazy with it, even though it's phrased in a very vanilla way and is near the end in a largely unrelated paragraph.

Next time can you explain why the Promethean knights in Halo 4 (and the new ones and soldiers maybe?) have glowing skulls and tiny little extra arms? I'm serious. I think the level of care and effort put into explaining the armor re-applied to that might make me less bitter about it.

Also, can I just say, that section about the Mjolnir AIs? The first paragraph and the first three and a half sentences or so of the second paragraph are great sci-fi, very technical without getting too dry (to me), almost getting better sentence by sentence and word by word-- and the rest of the second paragraph is great fantasy, very evocative, very visceral. I had a whole big thing typed up about sci-fi versus fantasy and what Halo feels like but I'll just say I'd like you guys to pick one.
I want you to pick sci-fi or fantasy and throw everything behind that. While they can be mixed fairly well, when you guys try it seems to always not mix that much and be jarring when it switches, and you still lean towards sci-fi (as Halo always did before and I think should continue to), but sci-fantasy that is successful (in both financial and storytelling terms) almost always leans more towards fantasy.
