"Human Weakness" is quite possibly the best thing Traviss has ever written, and is one of Halo's better character stories. If Necrotana turns out to be Cortana controlled by the Gravemind, I'll be thoroughly disappointed.

I dunno. The assumption seems to be that, because they're ancient, these advanced alien races must speak in baroque Shakespearian dialog. The hammier and cheesier, the better.
