: I'm sure when someone got the bright idea to move the pedals on a bicycle
: from the front wheel to a chain system, there were those that were used to
: the other way and not happy with the change. That's the way I feel about
: these controls, it's not a complete overhaul, but an evolution in the
: control scheme. To me, it makes sense. I haven't polled enough forgers to
: know what everyone thinks so I'm not going ro make sweeping statements,
: but I've heard enough good and bad to know there seems to be no general
: consensus yet afer TWO DAYS. :)

That's not even close to being a good comparison.
Something that Gravemind has already pointed out.
A much better comparison would be (as Gravemind illustrated) is going from a Stick-shift vehicle to a Automatic. Shoot. I had to borrow a friend's automatic vehicle last month (for a funeral) and his gear shift was on the side of the steering wheel, while my old car had it in the center console. Both automatics, but I still kept reaching for the center controls that were not there.

A better comparison, would be that of driving in the USA and then attempting to drive in the UK or Canada. The driver sites on the opposite side of the car, the lanes are switched, the gear shifter is on the opposite side, and the gas and breaks are also switched.

But as Gravemind pointed out in his reply (and I'm repeating myself here as well), these are "unnecessary changes to control layouts" that we are talking about here.

And it travels into the item box as well. Items are unnecessary repeated in categories. Everything should have been kept simple. Not listed under 3 or more sub categories.
