In Response To: Muscle memory is a very harsh mistress. (Gravemind)

Exactly the point of my argument. Well, mostly.
My biggest issue is that those four button button control changes have no solid reasoning behind their change. I've easily gotten use to having to hold down the left D-pad to delete a object (which now does not lock anything). Possibly because I have to hold it down to do so. Thus, it gives my brain more time to realize what I'm doing. But I still find myself pressing X to bring up the objects pallet. There is zero reason to move the camera's vertical controls to the A & B. None what-so-ever. Doing so, makes it impossible to rotate the camera while you are moving vertically. Object selection/deselection could have easily been assigned to A & B, without issue. But, in part, because it's assigned to the bumpers, it's easier to select objects. This results in one forgetting they have other objects selected already. If simply had to take the extra second to move our thumb from the stick to the A or B instead, then it would give our brains that extra time remember the other objects are selected.

Look, here's the thing that bugs me the most. When we are selecting a item, we are usually not moving the camera. This is because we want to make sure that we are selecting the correct item(s). Thus, assigning the selection controls to A & B makes sense. But when you are zooming around your map, with the camera (or holding a object), you want to be able to easily move up and down in a vertical fashion. Which we can not do in this new Forge. Unless, of course, you want to strain your hand and position your fingers in a claw pose.
