Unlike the other channels, this will not become a partner thing, nor will it become focused on one video game. It's also completely volunteer submissions from all around. Much like Rooster Teeth's "Fails of the Week" series. Except not focused on just fails and glitches. Volunteers submit include a link to their personal website or social page, their username, the name of the game the clip is from, and what platform it was played on. I'll then collect the footage (if not emailed) and edit them into a video with the proper info for each clip. Links will be provided in the description as well as the credits.
Foul language and nudity will not be allowed of course. So I may end up having to bleep/block out such content. If a provided clip has party chat commentary, then that will be fine, but foul language will be removed. The goal is to keep this a family friendly series while also providing the fun times had by gaming. Voice over is not planned at this time. But I have a talented friend on standby if needed. Each video will have structure. Be it fails, funny moments, glitches, epic moments, etc. Creativity will also be a part of this series. Not just in gaming elements like Forge and Mindcraft. I'll also like to support physical and digital art as well. That means, it'll be a chance for fellow artist to promote their products and channels, as well as gamers to promote their maps and channels.
All footage needs to be in 16:9 dimensions and in the best quality possible. Clips need to be 30-60 seconds long. Up to 5 minutes is acceptable via XboxClips.com. But I may have to shorten them for the video. I will do my best to provide each submitter equal run time. But if your footage has a lot of "dead air", then parts will be cut out. Be it via a dissolve transition or video speed increase. Or simply cut out entirely. No watermarks either please, they may conflict with video's texts, enhancements, and/or the series' watermark. Twitch footage is difficult to obtain, so I ask Twitch links not be provided. In a attempt to fund this series, each video will be monetized, on YouTube, via a skip-able Ad. I'll not be putting any of my footage in this series, unless a filler is absolutely needed. I'll also not be promoting anything of mine in this series. It's strictly for the community. Nintendo game footage is also not going to be acceptable. Sorry. I would really like to include Nintendo games, but the additional 40% cut in revenue would just be too much for this series to handle. Maybe when the series increases in popularity. Finally, I may end up adding video enhancements to clips. Be it brightening up the footage, color corrections, or simple image or audio pop-ins. But I'll consult the owner of the clip before adding pop-ins.
I've been thinking about providing this series opportunity for a long time now. Sadly, software restrictions have kept me from going forward with it. But that's no longer a issue. I still need to work out a video intro and name for the series, but there's still plenty of time to finalize that. If interested in taking part, then please let me know below. Feel free to provide links to your footage. If you've used the Xbox One's Game DVR, then I simply need a link to it from XboxClips.com.
Please Note: Not all footage will be accepted. If you've got a double or triple kill, then sorry but that's just not cool enough. Unless there's something epic or funny about it, of course. Threw a Pulse grenade and got a double kill from the grave? Then that's cool. Especially if you've managed to capture the enemy, foolishly, walking into it. There's plenty of clips online to give ya a idea of what's cool and what's not.
Anyway, that's it. Let me know if you want to take part. Laters
