I can't help but imagine her as Laverne Cox now. Headcanon achieved!

I just finished part one for now and really appreciate you doing this! Thank you for noting how Dietz described Melissa McKay's looks as both "soldier-y yet feminine," as if those two are mutually exclusive. Luckily later stories wouldn't make human femininity othered in contrast to masculinity, making it seem alien and even made unwelcome in a battlefield setting. Such personalities and appearances aren't uncommon nor are they even mentioned. The genders of characters like Miranda and Jacob Keyes are ultimately made irrelevant within their respective games to the point that little differentiates them beyond the fit of the exact same uniform.
