Not sure what your point is (I mean that genuinely). It wouldn't necessarily matter what was in the background info at the time; it wouldn't change that we eventually found out specifically who "D" was in the grander scheme of things in the Bear trilogy. Just confused at what wouldn't make sense regarding potential footnote clarification of who was speaking.
