Back then the Halo community was literally years ahead of the curve when it came to video hosting. Free general-purpose sites existed, but typically limited you to short videos of appalling quality; youtube existed, but the video quality was a joke for years.
When Trinity was released in the summer of 2006, several Halo tricking websites collaborated to support a "Hi-Res" THREE-HUNDRED AND EIGHTY MEGABYTE download, where the link would randomly route you to one of them to distribute load.
The WMVs being tossed about on mythica were extremely high-fidelity for the era, and tons of people used the site. But it came at a cost; Amaroq was dumping over ten grand of his own money into the service every year, in addition to his time, and he decided to pull the plug in 2008 (at which other video-hosting services still sucked, heh).
