Given some of our recent discussion here, I'm not sure how interested folks around here are in stuff like this anymore. I'm still a sucker for art books, though, and I have way too many of them for everything I'm interested in (Halo, Destiny, other games, Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, etc).
There's not a whole lot to say about this book. If you have the other Art of Halo books, you know exactly what to expect. It's nearly identical to the Art of Halo 4 book in terms of substance. It's basically just lots of pretty pictures with the occasional sentence or two about the art or design study.
I'm always simultaneously enthralled with and disappointed with these books. They're great for seeing design concepts and iterations of familiar objects and characters, but I really wish there were more descriptions and more insight into the process (something the Weta books, and the big ass Harry Potter book I have, are great at).
But anyway, here are a few pictures to show it off. I'd recommend it for other art nuts and if you enjoyed the Art of Halo 4.
