I feel like the Banshee article we have in the Universe section does a good job (for example) at framing some of the aforementioned design variations. Always room for improvement of course, and some changes give easier starting points than others, for sure.

And to be clear, I'm not telling anyone they "shouldn't be frustrated" at certain things that annoy them. We ALL have those things, and everyone is absolutely well within their right to feel how they feel. What I'm simply trying to do is give a bit more of a clear picture of some of the how & why on the fiction-justification end.
