In Response To: Halo 6 Wish list *SP* (Stretchy)

1. Splitscreen so people will stop complaining.

2. Campaign theatre. I miss you baby. :(

3. Fully customizable armor from head to toe. I don't mind how it's set up in Halo 5 since it doesn't affect how I play the game or finding enjoyment from it. It's just kinda annoying that you don't have that freedom.

4. Basic emblems unlocked from the start. This is what has annoyed me from the start with 343 games. An emblem is a quick way to tell who you are. I find it rather irritating when that changes every other day because you unlock something cooler that still isn't the one you want. Hiding basic emblems that we've had from the get-go in other games just seems like a bad call. I don't know why 343 does it. I can totally understand why something like the Spartan, Blue Team, or Osiris Team emblems are locked, but nothing something as inconsequential as a bear paw.

5. More scripted events, objectives, and a bigger scale in the exploration missions. I loved these little bite sized missions stuck in between major moments in the campaign. Getting to out your gun down and explore without fear of stumbling into a suicide grunt made me a happy girl. Yet these little inserts in the campaign felt like an experiment to see if we liked them or not. I'd appreciate it if they went all out and made these a truly essential component to the campaign. The objectives we did have were little more than interactive cinematics. I'd like to see those made into fully-fledged cinematics on par with the rest of the game. In their place let us explore a space on a much grander scale with greater interactivity with the people, objects, environments, and activities. The sense of interactivity was kinda diminished when you'd walk up to a Miner or Sword and they'd all mostly shrug you off which became annoying for those NPCs which had talk prompts. Include optional objectives that can turn these otherwise peaceful missions into mini combat challenges akin to Spartan Ops. Some use of vehicles would be nice as well.

6. Have basic skulls and those you can unlock in-game. I've gotten used to having skulls unlocked from the very start these past few games and even in my first playthroughs I've activated them. From what I understand all the skulls you can find and unlock are the ones we've had since Halo 2. That's kinda boring. I'd love it if they introduced a whole new suite of skulls for you to hunt down and maybe even some originals with alternate behaviors.

7. Clan matches. It remains to be seen if companies offer much in the way of gameplay benefits but I'd love to see some integration with multiplayer. Fighting in clan matches in modes like Warzone or Invasion would definitely shift companies from being mere collections of players into an actual team. You truly care if you win or lose because your company is who you're associated with. If you participate in clan matches regularly and earn medals, commendations, etc. focused on team play you'd be rewarded. So it would benefit you to stay in one company for the long run.

8. More varying and difficult Promethean types. I would totally love it if the Soldier Commandos were like Stealth Elites on steroids, being able to teleport here and there on a whim and remain invisible. Make them rare and unexpected. One problem I find with all Soldiers is that they're so easy to take down. It takes a good 4-7 well-aimed shots of a precision rifle at any range to take them down center mass. More often than not they'll never scrounge for cover or teleport away. All they'll do is stand there and it gets disconcerting when even the higher-ranking Soldiers will act just the same. Soldiers should have the same sort of urgency as Reach's Skirmishers towards getting shot.

9. Simplifying Covenant armor and making them easy to distinguish. I love being able to effortlessly set apart a blue Minor, a red Major, a white Ultra, and a gold Zealot. Needless to say things are a lot more complicated now with the introduction of rank-specific armor for Elites. You're never afforded the chance to learn what they all signify and most of them are so similar that you could never distinguish them through research, let alone in the heat of combat. I've always associated the Covenant's use of bright colors with rich history and pride. Blue for Elites and orange for Grunts means you're untested, the enemy will know that, so they might go after you first. Red armor for both species signifies you simultaneously as a leader and a tested veteran. Things like this go through my head when I'm facing down the Covenant, not "oh their helmet spikey tube things are arranged in this pattern so that means this."
