By the time I earned 10,000 REQ through game rewards, I had enough duplicate cards (like 37 Needlers) to sell off that got me back to 10,000. Granted, that'll get harder as it'll take longer and longer to level up and you won't earn as many packs from that. But I seem to get right at 800ish REQ per game, so about every 11 games I can buy a gold pack. Seems pretty fair to me.
