Well I don't think he should come back either, just that there was a possibility that he didnt get atomized by the hole. the scenario that I was thinking of had him either die of starvation or the Covie forces you dont kill on the ship. Thinking more on the subject does show that idea has a lot of hope and maybe in it.

I guess you're right. Faulty slipspace tech isn't a subject I ever touched on when I write fan fics, so my knowledge on them is a bit rusty. I never really thought of the drive being stripped down, just kinda removed from the Savanna and welded to the back of a pelican.
