: Seriously, I'm making suggestions for the future. No need to jump down my
: throat and act like a jackass. This isn't "PC map editor" stuff.
: There are map editors on console games (Far Cry, Project Spark) that can
: do things that Forge can't, things that I think will make good additions
: to Forge. And I'm not going to stop suggesting them until either A) it
: happens, or B) the Halo franchise ends for good. Are the changes being
: made to Forge in Halo 5 great? Of course. But is it everything I want out
: of a map editor? Not yet. If you want to simply look at my post and see
: some ingrate who should be happy that he gets anything, well, that's your
: problem. I like Halo. I want it to be better. Therefore, I'm going to make
: suggestions for things I'd like to see in the future and critique things
: that I think are bad changes. If I didn't care I wouldn't say anything.
I think looking to the future is completely fine, but I do feel that comparing halo's Forge mode to a game like Project Spark is unfair. Project Spark is built from the ground up to be a user generated experience.
Not being argumentative, or saying Far Cry is a poor comparison, I just don't feel like Spark should be considered in such a discussion when Halo has so much more to offer than an editing mode.
Just a couple pennies to throw out there. Either way I think all are in agreement that this is a pretty sweet deal, I really hope they find a way to integrate Forge created maps into matchmaking better. I know the number of playlists is always an issue, but one featuring top shelf forged creations could be really fun.
