He's more tolerable here since he's not going on self-righteous rants about Halsey or trying to sabotage the UNSC's alliance with the one guy standing between them and a bunch of angry zealots, but the way Traviss wrote the character as her primary mouthpiece certainly didn't do any favors to him. No matter how much better HtT's portrayal of him may be, KT's toxic influence will always be there and it will affect how people see the character.

Just like the Zane lady. She comes across as pretty intimidating here, but when you think about the over-the-top comic book silliness that her character represents, she feels almost out of place in the more grounded setting of HtT.
