The very last thing she said last season was "This story is gonna be all about fear. I'm Petra Janecek, and this is Hunt the Truth."

It makes absolutely no narrative sense to say something like that without following up on it.

Perhaps FERO (and by extension, ONI) is being manipulated in some master scheme by Petra to finally blow the doors off the whole intelligence barnstorm. I suspect that she is in a much better position this season's events than we are being led to believe, and I suspect that she will be instrumental to what happens from this point forward.

It just might be a while until we hear from her again.
