I get $10 back for pre-ordering a game I know I’ll enjoy and want to play on day one. It makes economic sense for me.

Honestly I don’t regret the money I put down for MCC either. I had a blast going through the campaigns, and I was so busy with them I didn’t actually experience much of the real rough parts of the multiplayer right at launch.

Really I get the points about not pre-ordering and such, but to me the issues with "voting with your wallet" in these situations is that it's like tipping—in theory it helps guarantee better service or better products, but not really.
