: Chief was last seen at the end of the CE flying in a spaceship away from
: Halo. Presumably he flew home.
: Johnson hangs a lampshade on the fact that he's still alive. The script
: literally makes a joke about it.
: "Chief jumped from the ship" is literally the first scene of the
: game. It's not mysterious at all.
: The Arbiter flew back to Earth with Johnson and Keyes. It can be easily
: assumed based on what is shown.
: I honestly don't follow you. Jackals looking slightly different is a much
: smaller change than "Chief has a family -- and humanity has
: additional saviors -- that no one ever mentioned".
: I've never been thrown by a gap between the Halo games like I was between
: Halo 3 and Halo 4, and Halo 4 and Halo 5
I guess you just couldn't fire up the imagination for Halo 4 and 5 then. S'ok. I'm not trying to sound like a douche I just don't get the difference because to me its all the same.
Halo has rich, rich lore beyond the games, which need to reach a mass audience and are therefore purposefully simplified with the expectation that the majority will take what they see at face value and then move on to call of duty. Except, for those few who notice the things you yourself noticed, and begin to ask questions.
That was me 10+ years ago trying to figure out wtf happened between Halo 1 and 2. That led me toHBO(and the books).
And now you know, the rest, of the story.
