The AR in Halo 4 was one of the very few things I LIKED that 343 changed, that I felt was an actual improvement in the series. It sounds meatier, and you can actually bag more than one kill with it, which is better than all previous ARs in Halo.
I also really liked the S.A.W in both appearance and function. That's saying a lot too, because I'm not much of an automatic weapon fan in gaming.
I can't describe it except as a "poppy" quality. From
: what I've heard of the Halo 5 version, it sounds less so, which is good.
: Otherwise, nothing stands out at me when I hear things, which is probably
: a good sign because if they sounded distinctly "wrong" I would
: pick them out easier.
: I do wish we could go back to the deeper, "gruntier" growl the
: Warthog used to have. The Halo 4 one sounds too high-pitched, less
: "oomph."
The Hog is dead. Long live the Hog.
