"Treating others with respect"? How much respect did Brendan Eich get when he was hounded into unemployment for something that had absolutely nothing to do with his job?
A guy is free to be an asshole. People are free to disagree with him. People are free to be assholes in turn. Hounding someone out of a job because of his religious convictions goes beyond assholishness and straight into barbarity. Whitewashing it with platitudes like "I am only intolerant of intolerance" is hypocritical barbarity.
That's what pisses me off so much about that comic. Randal Munroe is saying that there's nothing wrong with mob justice. There's nothing wrong with purging the рolitically inсorrect from an industry and scaring the rest into silence.
