Reach statue figures with new bases! *IMGs*

In Response To: Taking apart Reach statue (tadboz)

Hey, it took a bit longer than I thought, but I finished those bases I'd mentioned last week.

The first step was to take apart the statue. The parts with screws were fine, but loosening those figures without breaking them was a challenge. I eventually succeeded.

Afterwards, I broke out the super sculpey and made the bases.

Then, I painted them with acrylics and sealed with a matte clear coat.

So here's Jun's base. I decided on a mossy log, with some flowers and a spent cartridge resting on some tree fungus.

For Emile's, I thought something colder would be appropriate so here's some beat-up concrete with mangled rebar.

Kat, being a bit lighter than the rest, didn't need such a big base. I also felt that the look of the original stone base was a good look so I made hers in the form of a weathered rock.

Jorge's base is a textured metal floor with a partially crumpled box and some traces of Grunt carnage.

For Carter, I decided on something desert-y so he's got some cracked dry ground and rocks.

Here's one last shot of all of them together.

If anyone's interested in acquiring one, shoot me an email. Let me know a price you think is fair. I'm really not concerned with turning a profit on this, as the process of making everything was worthwhile in and of itself. That said, I do need to de-clutter. :)
