In which I elucidate my opinions...

So, I was at first a little less enthusiastic about it overall: good, but not GREAT like ILoveBees, and the ending setup was fairly predictable going in. I was all ready to criticize and compare to ILB. But the ending, right through - intriguing resolution! The series as a whole was winding up for this. The audio drama is about the same length (13 chapters), though not as full in content as ILB, and not an ARG, but it's not really fair to compare it to ILB in the first place.
BUT, as a promotional podcast, essentially, for Halo 5, and a part from a few minor nitpicky annoyances on writing and voice acting in parts, VERY well done. Especially if looking at the buzz it's generating in this generation's Halo community (10 years post-ILB), and the turnaround it seems to have created in popular opinion for the Halo storyworld.
Props to 343 and those involved.
Can't say I'll listen to it once or twice every year as I do ILB, but that's partly due to never forgetting your first love :)

This was a great story, a great prequel, and definitely opens the door for more great storytelling direction. But all those comments I'm seeing though along the lines of "best story in the Halo universe", or "never been anything like this" and whatnot - if only they'd been around 10 years ago for the lead-up to Halo 2 ;)
