That's not really something you want to quote coming from an ardent imperialist and racist who spent most of his time during the war, and in his second term, trying to maintain Britain's empire. Without Germany and Japan trying to shake things up, they'd remain one of the sole European powers able to maintain a vast, extremely profitable empire in the second half of the 20th century. They had two major allies, Australia and Canada, who at that time stuck to their side like children, and the whole of India and Africa to ravage as they please. And they did.

Two notable events occurred during his administration as Prime Minister. The Mau Mau Rebellion of the 1950s which left thousands upon thousands of Kenyans died and imprisoned. The Bengal famine of 1943 was in the heart of the British Raj and saw millions of deaths. British rule insured that local indigenous government couldn't do anything by themselves and Churchill refused to feed the very people that his empire depended on to take advantage of for their imperialist military and capital enterprises. The families of Bengali soldiers, all volunteers, were starved by the empire which deployed them for thousands of miles in every direction to save the rest of their possessions. Winston Churchill hated anyone who wasn't a white and Christian British subject.
