: weapon!" plot. Would Zeta Halo even threaten Earth or the human
: sphere, seeing as the Halos must be distributed evenly across the galaxy
: to cover it in its entirety? If we're in both Delta and Alpha's range,
: then surely Zeta would be almost on the other side of the galaxy? It'll
: still be a galactic extinction event but the threat isn't quite as dire as
: with I04 and 05. Come to think of it, this means the ring might actually
: fire in the story.

: Other than that, it's a bit heavy on the exposition and "as you
: know", though I guess readers who don't know all this already have to
: be brought up to speed. But I like the way the main characters are
: scientists, which is something you don't see every day in Halo. And I look
: forward to seeing that human-Elite interaction.

Not taking the entire galaxy out is not that enjoyable a feeling if you're still in the radius :)

(And do they really know what Installation 07's blast radius could be? For all they know due to its construction it could be larger.)

Will be interested to see how this ties into the stuff on the Ark, or if these are more parallel stories.

Also, I feel like Halsey would smack this guy upside the head if she caught him bragging about how he's the best scientist when it comes to the Forerunners. :)
