"Twitch shooter" is very apropos here. Halo 5's movement has sped up considerably, but it also felt the kill times have sped up as well. Halo's distinctively deliberate pace also included slow kill times by FPS standards. In most "realistic" shooters it generally only takes two or three shots to the torso from an automatic weapon to kill you, thus making kill times nearly instant assuming optimum aiming. In Halo the kill times for regular weapons were at least a second at minimum, longer in later games (in Reach and Halo 4 kills times were generally in the 1.5-2 second range). This means it can take a while to kill an enemy while in an actual combat scenario where 100% accuracy isn't guaranteed.

While Halo 5 still has slower kills times than most other shooters, the kill times have decreased enough and the movement increased enough to where it does feel like the "twitchiest" Halo game ever.
