See i don't find this so crazy. a) i thought it was hard changing character/form, whereas this is more akin to clothing. b) she is trying to grow as an AI, plus she IS going rampant (maybe thinking she is human)
But we also have a bit farther off c) it could be because of what chief wanted to see. she IS inside of his head and knows what he is thinking, so if she knows he Loves her (in whatever way it is), she may want to do it for him to make him comfortable or more excited to see her, etc. it's out there, but she did know how he felt about everything (even before him in some ways)
