: Wow, the art is dramatically better. I guess it was pretty mediocre

It's about time they changed some of the artists. This new artwork may not be the best I've ever seen, but it looks much, much better than the original artwork.
In the old artwork:
- The line weight was too thick in most places
- Any new designs were not very well thought out
- Environments looked awful and bland
- The penciller and inker would add their own values in certain areas (I would've left adding value to the colorist- it just looks messy with both)
- Faces looked mostly the same
- Spartans and Covenant had ridiculous proportions
- Covenant looked all like evil monsters (especially Elites)
- Too many lazy straight lines; it cuts the energy that a drawing has
- Every drawing of the MJOLNIR armor looks like basic geometrical shapes taped together; there's just no flow to them
- Characters look too stiff and there's not enough sense of movement
Because comics are such a visual medium, most of these things actually work AGAINST the story. Part of why Escalation has been so bland so far is because of the artwork.
I can already tell from the new artists that there is a better sense of movement, design flow, line weightiness, and even proportion. It's kind of funny to look at at first, but the tiny arms don't work against the story like the old art did.
