If they want to create a new weapon then they should create a new weapon, not replace an iconic weapon with a shitty generic looking version and call it new.

It's a simple concept that even Bungie understood when they introduced the Spartan Laser. It was unique, it looked like a weapon from Halo, and it didn't replace the SPNKR.
