You finish the level Reclaimer by painting the gravity well with a laser so the Infinity can lock on and fire a missile. You then cut to a cutscene of the missile's nosecam as it screams toward the gravity well... and you can guide it in with the joysticks. There's no point to it because you can't miss, and the missile was going to hit anyway. It just feels like a real incongruous scene that should have been devoted to something else.
A lot of us were wondering why 343i bothered to add that functionality. I guess some programmer was desperate to salvage scrapped code he'd worked on for so long.
