: Pretty much this. After seeing that CGI cinema scene, I wish they had simply

I have to disagree.

While the new cinematics are less personal and over dramatic, they're nowhere near as bad as the ones in Halo CEA:

Look at Keyes struggle on those stairs with his gorgeous duck face... and Cortana's fish mouth.

I'll take slightly overacted Blur videos with furrow-browed Miranda over this.
