It's a good channel to follow to easily get all the days news summarized along with speculation, but it's not really something meant for the hardcore fans. I take their popularity as being attributed to constant updates to a crowd that doesn't really want to chase down every news story or forum. It's also nice to be able to see any video uploaded on any site on their channel, which really focuses on quantity and not quality. That isn't to say they don't sometimes have interesting segments, which is why I subscribed in the first place.
