Fire Team Zulu, hereafter "FTZ" for short, is a site centered around challenges based in both the Bungie-created Halo and Destiny universes. FTZ was originally created in 2009 as a challenges site for Halo 3: ODST's Firefight, presenting players with challenges with unique restrictions, requirements, and little bit of light story between each one.

Eventually FTZ expanded to ODST's campaign, Halo 3's campaign, and before it went into cryo-sleep for reasons, Reach firefight and campaign. FTZ is now finally thawed out, with further expansion to the rest of the Halo games and Destiny, plus challenges for select "Alumni" games made by ex-Bungie employees.

If you were around for the original FTZ, a quick Q&A is available. You can transfer your account from the old FTZ to the new one and keep all of your achievements and beta badges from back then.

For Halo, we've got a full range of challenges to start off with:

Halo 1 - I Need a Weapon
Finish Mission 2 without using a Pistol, RL, Sniper, and no Sniper Marine riding in the Warthog. Can you complete this quest on Heroic? You'll have to use the rest of the sandbox to complete your mission.

Halo 2 - The Great Race
Complete The Great Journey in a Half Hour on Heroic. Use every vehicle and shortcut you can to complete the final level of Halo 2 in record time. Everything is fair game.

Halo 3 - Purely Optional
Complete Floodgate on Legendary and only kill Pureforms. This means no killing any poor Marines, Brutes, Elites, or Grunts that have been converted into soldiers for the Gravemind. It's fine if any AI do.

Halo 3 ODST - Drop The Bass Fish
Lost Platoon. One Set. An FTZ Classic.

Halo Reach - Call Them Maybe
Can you resist the temptation to grab the Target Locator but not use it? Reach the top of Sword Base at the end of the level with an unused TL to get the maximum points.

Halo 4 - Butting Buttons
Punch every button on the level Shutdown. Just punch. All. The. Buttons.

Halo Wars - Legendary Struggle
Defeat 3 Legendary AI in a 3v3 match. This one is worth 300 points for completion, compared to all of the others at 100 points. All units!

Halo Spartan Assault - Isoshiv
Complete the first mission with only melee. Like the Halo 4 one, but more visceral.
