Visualizing the Halo Universe
Writing Round 2: Covenant

Remember, feedback on writing is appreciated and encouraged.

Well, here we go. Round 2. Let's dive right in. The theme for this round is...

Theme:

Doarmir

Sources:

Contact Harvest

Details:

This subject is a little obscure, but that obscurity lends a lot of leeway to where you can go with your writing. The Doarmir is an animal native to Sangheilios that the Elites used to hunt for fur. This fur was prized for its use on long seafaring voyages, when it served to keep the Sangheili dry and warm. This tradition continued into the modern day, when spacefairing Shipmasters would wear the fur in honor of their naval heritage.

Although it has not been confirmed, it is possible one of the following images may show a Doarmir cloak:

Simply work this animal and/or its fur into your story somehow. It can revolve around the subject, or simply include it somewhere in the writing. You have a lot of freedom with this one, and it's a great opportunity to tell a story set on ancient Sangheilios if you choose to go that direction with your writing. :)

Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Remember you have two weeks to submit your writing, and if you're participating in the illustration round there is now one week left for submissions.

And feel free to let your friends know about Visualizing the Halo Universe! The more people participate, the more great work we all get to enjoy!
