Customs Night, sort of-- Destiny beta edition
By:General Vagueness
Date: 7/24/14 1:19 pm

This week we're doing something a little different. Usually every Friday at 9:00 PM Eastern time we play custom games in Halo, but this week we're going to be playing in the Destiny beta. We won't be doing customs since the beta doesn't have them (hopefully the full game will, but unfortunately it's looking dicey). We don't really have an itinerary for what we will do, but we'll try to make things fun for anyone that shows up.
We'll be playing on the 360 version since that console is so well distributed both in general and among people we tend to play with.
Please note that Destiny is kind of built around fireteams, groups of three (or occasionally six) players, and only members of the same fireteam (or people in the same party using the Xbox or PlayStation party systems) are able to talk to each other, but everyone has gestures available to them, namely sit/stand, greet (salute/wave/bow), point, and dance, which can be used for some basic communication. Destiny also can make players not in a fireteam together show up or not show up in each other's world; frankly I don't know how it does this or what the criteria are for being in the same world together.
If you want to play with us, you can post your gamertag here, and we'll invite you when we're getting started.

quick points:

- Destiny beta
- Xbox 360
- 9:00 PM EST
- groups of 3
- dancing
