So I think I've got it figured out.

The game has the Halo 1/2/3/4 engines all running their own maps.

There is a new 5th engine (the one they played on stage), that we can play the 6 remastered maps in.

It seems to be the Halo 4 engine, modified to emulate Halo 2. You'll notice it has grenade indicators, bloom, Halo 4's medals, and Halo 4's Announcer.

The only thing I can't figure out, is if we can play the 6 remastered maps in their original forms on the Halo 2 engine.
