You're getting really defensive about this trilogy

Apollo is right, you don't have to talk down to people because they share a different view.

Frankly I agree with everything he said. No pushing the story forward does not have to involve the Chief. Halo Wars, ODST, Forerunner story all did things to enhance some element of the universe that we had little information on....what did this book do? Had you never read this book would you have said "Man, I can't wait to find out what happens next."?

It didn't even serve as a bridge between Thursday War and Halo 4. It was just there and the plot was lackluster.
