But I can't agree with anything regarding the "remastered" version you suggest. Changing Halo 2 would do a serious disservice to the game, even if there was a "classic" mode available. With all due respect, your suggestion regarding new encounters and "fixing" sniper alley is... well, offensive. Especially if there would then (under your plan, anyways, assuming I read everything correctly) be no way to play the "classic" Halo 2 with upgraded graphics.
In my humble opinion, for Halo 2 Anniversary, we need:
1. Online multiplayer. Halo 2 defined Xbox Live multiplayer. Halo 2 itself was defined by Xbox Live multiplayer. If it isn't included, I won't buy H2A. Pure and simple.
2. No changes, save for making sure that it runs smoothly on the One. The emulation software on the 360 was horrible. F$!king Backwash and that burn-in you got after playing for awhile.
3. An updated graphics mode like Halo CE Anniversary. I agree, the hot-swap option was a gimmick, and really wasn't necessary, and a single main-menu option would be better.
That's it.
