And does that mean the brand is in bad shape? Clearly to you and I, it's in good enough shape to continue buying.
I've come to the realization that nothing stays the way it is forever. Things change and people change, so if Halo no longer does it for you, that's an okay reason to not invest yourself in it anymore. It's not necessarily an indication of lack of quality, but just that you didn't change with it in the same way.
In a way, if a person stays the same for a long time, that's a travesty, since that means he isn't having new experiences and growing. Likewise for a franchise like Halo. It would be a shame if everything about it were done the way Bungie did it in the past.
There's lots of games out there. Halo won't be in my future (who knows about Destiny), but that's just because I'm a different person than I was in 2002. It doesn't mean 343 failed. It just means we are parting ways…
