Dust and echoes.

In Response To: Birthday Party? (IsThisThingOn)

Things to note:

Halo 1 was released just over eight years after Pathways into Darkness, and it has been twelve years since Halo 1's launch. Halo 1 is getting old.

Halo 3 was released less than six years after Halo 1, and it has been more than six years since Halo 3's launch. On the timeline, Halo 3's launch is closer to Halo 1's launch than it is to the present. Does it feel like this is true?

Reach was released just under three years after Halo 3, and it has been over three years since Reach's launch. On the timeline, Reach's launch is closer to Halo 3's launch than it is to the present. Yikes.

Oh, the PS4 was released today. This is important because we can finally call Halo 3 "last gen," which should make its age feel less weird. Maybe.

Anyway, Halo.
