: 343i got what is one of the biggest IP transfers of all time. They made
: mistakes and did controversial things. They're working on them (see
: Spartan Assault), but almost all companies face constraints that prevent
: them from doing a public l post mortem on a currently shipping product.
: Almost any new dev would have "ruined Halo" the same way. There's
: no point in hating 343 for it.
I don't care for a lot of the choices they made, but it was theirs to make. Halo is 343i's baby now.
There was much I didn't care for about Bungie's caretaking of the Haloverse either. A lot of aspects about the campaign and Reach's multiplayer really irked me, much like Halo 4 does for many of us. Did I wish Joe Staten or Marcus Lehto "good riddance" when they departed from Bungie? No! I love their contribution to our beloved franchises, no matter how great, controversial, or terrible they might have been.
