Customs Night (while the gettin's good edition)

That time is coming again. Yes, Customs Night is close, and it's bringing an old friend.
If the meaning of the title and the above line are a mystery to you, I have the solution right here: Customs Night is a get-together held every Friday by Community Customs (the clock is flashing 12:00 but we're doing what we can). To be more specific, it's where we play custom and standard gametypes on custom maps (and sometimes standard maps), and we do it every Friday at 9:00 PM Eastern time. The maps and gametypes we play on range from minimalist to massive, from mundane to magical. This week will stand out even more because this week we're playing Halo 3.
In case you didn't know about this either, or just can't find the link, Halo 3 is available for download for free right now for everyone with an Xbox Live gold account. This is your best chance in a while (and probably for a while to come) to relive what made this game worth playing-- or find out, if you didn't know before. This offer ends at the end of the month, and it just so happens that that is tomorrow, and it is Halloween, and it is just before Customs Night.
If that sounds like fun, I have good news, all you have to do to get in is reply to this post with your gamertag somewhere in the subject or message.
There are a few things that should be noted here. A Communtiy Customs admin (GTs: Gnrl Vagueness, ShadowoftheVoid, nomis78) will have party lead at all times, and so if you want to play a map or gametype we don't have you'll have to put it in your file share. What's especially worth noting is that you cannot access your file share in Halo 3 in any lobby unless you have party lead, so you should put everything you want to play in there beforehand. Also worth noting is the fact that everyone's file share has been expanded-- in the handover of Halo, everyone was given the number of slots and amount of space that Bungie Pro would formerly give someone access to (25 slots, BTW, and I think 100 MB).
If you have the DLC but don't have it on your hard drive, please download it. If you have the multiplayer disk from ODST, please put that in to play (assuming it works). If you have both, you can just pick one. If you don't have the DLC maps in any form currently and you don't want to buy them now, you can still at least get four of them because they're also free, and free permanently, namely Cold Storage, a tweaked and expanded remake of Chill Out, and the Heroic maps, which are Standoff, Rat's Nest, and the original Forge-centric map, Foundry. Everyone will be expected to have these maps. If you're looking for something you liked but you don't have it on your hard drive and you can't quite remember what it's called or who made it, I suggest looking in petetheduck's file share or possibly asking him about it if you're nice.
I hope we'll see you there.
