I'm in the process of streamlining my music library to save space on my devices, and while I dearly love Marty's symphonic stylings, I can't justify keeping enough room for *all* the various Halo soundtracks. Partly because of the many ambient/"filler" tracks, but mainly because of all the recycled material. Some examples:

* Perilous Journey (Halo 1) is very similar to Peril (Halo 2)

* Impend (Halo 2) is identical to Epilogue (Halo 2 Volume 2)

* Mombasa Suite: Broken Gates (Halo 2 Volume 2) is a lot like Tsavo Highway Suite: Out of Shadow (Halo 3)

* Earth City (Halo 2) is re-orchestrated in Halo Legends

And of course the main theme makes many appearances throughout all albums.

So, for those deeply familiar with all the soundtracks, what do you think is the best way to boil all these remixes and revisitations into one master Halo canon? If you strip out all the ambient and in-between pieces, focus on the core melodies, pick the best instance of each, and fold them all together, what would be your master Halo soundtrack?

(Also, I'm not familiar at all with the OSTs outside of the original trilogy, so if you can share your favorites from ODST/Reach/Legends/Wars/Halo 4, that would be fantastic!)
