September 13th and 14th, 2010 were some of the best days I had experienced in my life at that point. Halo Reach was something my best friend, Jackson, and I were looking forward to that whole year. We found out about the launch event at the EMP in Seattle a couple days before it happened, but neither of us had our driver's licenses yet, so we had to rely on public transportation. At the time, I had only really used the Sounder train to get from Sumner to Kent to see my dad.

Figuring out bus numbers, schedules, etc. was a little bit overwhelming, but I figured it out (my little brother and best friend were there too). We joked that I was like Carter and I had be the leader in this situation. We get to the EMP and meet up with my dad who works in Seattle, stay for an hour or two and then leave. I actually got to play some Firefight with my dad, and the guy, despite working in the gaming industry, never plays games. That was pretty awesome.

Jackson and I went to the GameStop near my house and picked up my Legendary Edition. Heh, I actually ran into the house when we got home because I was so excited to play. Next day, we skipped school and played through the game.

Public transportation isn't scary like it used to be- I'm not worried about getting lost. However, I never really get to see my little brother or Jackson too much anymore. My brother doesn't live with me, and he'll be going into the military, and Jackson lives across the state. It's crazy how different things are from just three years ago.
