I still don't see the supposedly obvious connection between the trailer and the Silentium epilogue. The epilogue has MB buried under the sand with the explicit reason of imprisoning him forever. He's put in what is practically a coffin for an AI, bound in complete stasis. Without 343i doing some major story changes (which is a possibility that can't be ruled out, of course) I don't see how you go from being completely frozen and helpless to driving a giant death machine. Granted, MB is resourceful, but would the Forerunners, who wanted to make sure MB never got out, really be as inept as to leave a giant robot laying around for him?
Okay, the Librarian did leave the Didact with a magic orb that can jump into slipspace so he could escape immediately. On second thought, maybe they really were that stupid.
