: they held a qualifier in Germany and sounded oh-so-proud of it. Any
: competitors they got from said region would be expected to stay up quite
: late to compete, potentially affecting their performance. Nevermind any
: potential competitors from further East. Their friends, family and fans
: back home would also be inconvenienced.

: Yet they could simply hold the tourney earlier in the day to at least make it
: more reasonable for Eurasian viewers. Not a complicated change. Less
: waiting around for spectators and competitors AT the event during the day
: too.

Then I suppose the US could stop calling it's 'American' end-of-season baseball games the "World" Series then, hmmm? :P
