Absolutely I understand that the majority of Halo players are from the US, but if they even have any pretensions of having a global audience, they could at least try to service said audience.
I'm watching the finals today (couldn't yesterday, too late and the outcome is already spoiled) and they mentioned a couple of times early on that they held a qualifier in Germany and sounded oh-so-proud of it. Any competitors they got from said region would be expected to stay up quite late to compete, potentially affecting their performance. Nevermind any potential competitors from further East. Their friends, family and fans back home would also be inconvenienced.
Yet they could simply hold the tourney earlier in the day to at least make it more reasonable for Eurasian viewers. Not a complicated change. Less waiting around for spectators and competitors AT the event during the day too.
Of course, this US-centrism is a problem with all of Xbox division it seems.
